First lady's office pushes back against Giuliani on Stormy Daniels comment

The countersuit was filed Thursday in federal court in Los Angeles - hours after Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani claimed Daniels isn't credible and has "no reputation" because she's a porn actress.

Giuliani, the former mayor of NY, echoed Grisham's statement, telling the crowd in Israel that "I've never interviewed Melania, there is no reason to".

Based on Grisham's statement, it sounds like Giuliani said what he hopes Melania thinks, rather than what she actually believes.

Wedge went on to say that "Attorney Davidson believes that the American people deserve to know the entire truth - and they soon will". I do not even suppose there is a slight suspicion that it is true.

"I don't regret saying it because I believe it", he told CNN.

Giuliani's comments Wednesday at the "Globes" Capital Market conference in Tel Aviv drew a heated response from Daniels' attorney, who on Thursday said Trump should fire Giuliani. On Wednesday, she filed a new lawsuit in California court alleging that Davidson had betrayed her and became a "puppet" for Trump and Cohen.

New indictment filed against Paul Manafort
In addition to the FARA charge, Manafort stands accused of tax fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy against the United States. Perhaps more important is that an alleged line from the Russian government to the Trump campaign could be getting clearer.

An attorney for Michael Cohen, Brent Blakely, told ABC News in a statement that Daniels' latest lawsuit "appears to be just another one of her publicity stunts to attract media attention to herself, her controversial lawyer, and her ongoing tour of adult entertainment establishments".

Giuliani said Daniels - who is in a legal battle with Trump over an affair that she alleges happened between the two of them a decade ago - has "no reputation" to be damaged.

Giuliani joined the legal team representing Trump in the probe by Special Counsel Bob Mueller almost two months ago and in recent weeks has made headlines with a series of television interviews that at times contradict his client's statements, including his confirmation of a $130,000 payment to Clifford the president denied making.

Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, hit back against Giuliani for doubting his client's credibility, calling him a "misogynist". However, given some of the president's previous discussions about Ivanka and the fact that she works for his administration, it seems likely Giuliani meant Ivanka.

"I know Donald Trump...when you look at his three wives, right?"

Giuliani's comments may be part of a wider political strategy to discredit Daniels' lawsuit against Trump, but they're extremely unsafe for a population of women already fighting to be respected. As we reported, Stormy claims Davidson, her attorney when she signed the $130k hush agreement, was in cahoots with Trump's legal team.
